Qualifications

• Certificate IV level qualification or 3+ years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Performing advanced motherboard diagnostics and precision microsoldering to resolve complex faults in mobile phone circuitry.
• Diagnosing electrical and hardware issues involving circuit boards, processors, antenna systems and related components using specialised testing equipment.
• Repairing, replacing and adjusting damaged electronic components with precision instruments and suitable magnification tools.
• Expanding the business’s internal capability to diagnose and repair a wider range of complex mobile phone faults.
• Managing suitable motherboard and circuit-level repairs in-house to minimise the need for external specialist services.
• Maintaining high repair standards and improving consistency and turnaround times through effective diagnostic techniques and repair processes.

Sunshine Communications are looking for an experienced Telecommunications and Hardware Technician for an immediate start. This position is full-time ongoing position working 38 hours per week based in Cairns City, QLD.

Skill Requirement

The successful candidate would also need to possess at least aCertificate IV level qualification with 1 years full time industry experience. Alternatively, at least 3 years of closely related work experience will substitute for formal qualifications.

Requirements: (minimum 3 years experienc)

Performing advanced motherboard diagnostics and precision microsoldering to resolve complex faults in mobile phone circuitry.

Diagnosing electrical and hardware issues involving circuit boards, processors, antenna systems and related components using specialised testing equipment.

Repairing, replacing and adjusting damaged electronic components with precision instruments and suitable magnification tools.

Assessing faults at component level and carrying out targeted repairs where feasible to restore device operation and minimise unnecessary part replacements.

Completing intricate mobile phone hardware repairs that require specialised fault-finding and advanced electronic repair expertise.

Expanding the business’s internal capability to diagnose and repair a wider range of complex mobile phone faults.

Managing suitable motherboard and circuit-level repairs in-house to minimise the need for external specialist services.

Maintaining high repair standards and improving consistency and turnaround times through effective diagnostic techniques and repair processes.

Developing and updating technical documentation, repair procedures and troubleshooting guides for complex hardware issues.

Conducting post-repair testing with appropriate electronic equipment to confirm device functionality, signal connectivity and reliable operation.

Investigating recurring hardware problems and implementing suitable diagnostic methods and corrective repair solutions.

Maintaining and checking specialised diagnostic tools and repair equipment to ensure accurate testing and dependable repair outcomes.
