Job summary

AWS's Enterprise Sales team in Australia seeks a Head of Telco to lead go-to-market across telecommunications customers, driving cloud and AI adoption with major carriers and infrastructure players. You will shape strategy, hire and develop senior sales talent, and partner with account teams to win large-scale, regulated deals while building durable customer relationships at CEO/CTO/CIO level.

Qualifications

15+ years of enterprise sales and business development in technology, with telco focus.
Ability to converse with C-suite on network modernization, AI strategy, and TCO.
Proven multi-year customer relationships and leadership of sales teams.
Experience in regulated, infrastructure-critical environments.
Ability to articulate business value of cloud/AI to tech and business leaders.
Executive presence with relationships at CEO/CTO/CIO/board level.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of enterprise sales professionals focused on AWS Telco adoption in Australia.
Cover tier-1 carriers, mobile/fixed-line operators, and related infrastructure players.
Engage senior leaders to shape cloud, network modernization, and AI programs.
Define and execute the Telco go-to-market strategy and pipeline.
Navigate regulatory landscape and ensure compliance in deals.
Hire, develop senior sales talent and set operating rhythm for accountability.
