Job summary

AWS Australia seeks a Head of Telco to own the go-to-market for Telecommunications across Australia. You will set strategy, lead the team, and drive cloud and AI adoption with tier-1 carriers, operators, and infrastructure providers.

You'll hire senior sales talent, shape regulatory-aware strategies, and build a culture of accountability to solve complex customer problems in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years enterprise sales and business development in technology, with telecom experience.
• Know telcos' buying, building, and operating technology, and discuss regulatory obligations.
• Proven track record managing multi-year, high-value customer relationships.
• Experience navigating regulated, infrastructure-critical deals with security reviews.
• Ability to articulate cloud and AI business value to tech and business leaders.
• Executive presence with relationships at CEO/CTO/CIO/board level.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of enterprise sales professionals focused on AWS Telecommunications in Australia.
• Define go-to-market strategy across Telecommunications: investments, positioning, use cases, and pipeline.
• Engage with C-suite and senior technology leaders to shape cloud, network modernisation, and AI programs.
• Hire and develop senior sales talent and build an accountable operating rhythm.
