Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Head of Telco to lead the go-to-market for AWS across Telecommunications in Australia. You will set strategy, lead the team, and drive cloud and AI adoption across the sector, engaging with C-suite leaders and shaping modernization programs.

You will hire and develop senior sales talent, build an operating rhythm for accountability, and build a culture that delivers durable customer outcomes in a highly regulated, infrastructure-heavy market.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of enterprise tech sales and business development, with significant telco experience.
• Knowledge of how telcos buy, build and operate technology; discuss roadmaps with CIO/CTO levels.
• Proven track record managing long-term, complex customer relationships and large teams.
• Experience in regulated, infrastructure-critical deals with security reviews and governance.
• Ability to articulate cloud/AI value to tech and business leaders; understands network tech.
• Strong executive presence; comfortable presenting at events and with media.

• Lead a team of enterprise sales professionals focused on accelerating AWS adoption across Telecommunications in Australia.
• Define the go-to-market strategy for Telecommunications: where to invest, how to position, and which use cases to lead with.
• Hire and develop senior sales talent, and establish an operating rhythm that drives accountability.
• Engage C-suite and senior technology leaders; shape large-scale cloud, network modernisation, and AI programs.
• Collaborate with AWS account teams to manage day-to-day customer relationships and outcomes.
