Job summary

IAG in Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Risk Advisory Specialist to partner with business units to understand end-to-end processes, identify risks, and provide independent insights that support confident decision making.

Based in Gadigal Country (Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) or Meanjin (Brisbane), the role is permanent and full-time. You will deliver oversight across technology and operational environments and influence risk frameworks to strengthen governance and risk management practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology risk, assurance, audit or operational risk environments.
• Ability to review processes, controls and risk management end-to-end.
• Strong communication skills to influence and challenge constructively.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand end-to-end processes, identify key risks and provide insightful challenge that supports better decisions.
• Deliver oversight and assurance activities across technology and operational environments, assessing risks, controls and the effectiveness of risk management practices.
• Conduct targeted reviews and process assessments, developing clear observations and recommendations that drive meaningful improvement.
• Analyse risk information, trends and indicators to help form independent views on the overall risk and control environment.
• Collaborate with risk specialists and business leaders to strengthen risk frameworks, governance practices and technology risk management approaches.
• Influence and support the implementation of policies and frameworks, helping embed consistent and effective risk management across the business.
