Job summary

IAG is seeking an AI Risk Specialist to shape and strengthen AI risk oversight across the organisation. You’ll review AI use cases, controls and risk assessments, develop assurance activities, and translate AI developments into practical business insights.

Based in Gadigal Country (Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) or Meanjin (Brisbane), this permanent full-time role offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to build capability in AI governance and stay ahead of evolving regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in AI risk, model risk or governance.
• Ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical guidance.
• Experience in regulated industries, financial services or large organisations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape and strengthen AI risk oversight practices across the organisation.
• Review AI use cases, controls and risk assessments to support responsible AI adoption.
• Develop assurance activities identifying emerging risks and providing confidence in AI decisions.
• Analyse AI risk events and trends to identify themes and practical improvements.
• Monitor AI developments, governance, and related regulation to translate risks into business insights.
