Job summary

Perth Airport Pty Ltd is seeking a Technology Lead - Applications to guide a team delivering enterprise application services across operations, projects and continuous improvement. You will oversee the portfolio, manage lifecycle roadmaps, licensing and vendor relations while driving governance and security practices.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration and a focus on reliable, compliant solutions that align to business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven senior leadership experience managing enterprise application services across operations, projects and the full application lifecycle.
• Strong expertise in application portfolio governance, service management, vendor relationships and continuous service improvement.
• Experience with platforms and technologies such as Workday, ServiceNow, TechnologyOne, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power BI, APIs, PowerShell and SQL.
• Understanding of AI, Generative AI, automation and intelligent applications, including associated opportunities, risks and governance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Applications team to deliver secure, reliable and customer focused enterprise application services across operational, project and continuous improvement activities.
• Provide oversight of the applications portfolio, including ownership, governance, lifecycle planning, roadmaps, licensing and vendor management.
• Drive operational excellence through effective incident, problem, change and request management processes.
• Act as the key technical and operational escalation point for complex application issues, risks and critical decisions.
• Manage team capacity, workload, prioritisation and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery of business and strategic objectives.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand future needs, improve services and support informed investment decisions.
• Partner with project teams, architects, cyber security specialists and vendors to ensure solutions are secure, supportable and successfully transitioned into operational support.
• Champion compliance, cyber security, business continuity and risk management practices across the applications environment.

We are on the lookout for a Technology Lead - Applications to lead the delivery, governance and continuous improvement of enterprise application services across Perth Airport.

This role is responsible for guiding a team of application specialists, driving operational excellence and ensuring applications remain secure, reliable, well governed and aligned to business needs.

About the role

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven senior leadership experience managing enterprise application services across operations, projects and the full application lifecycle.
• Strong expertise in application portfolio governance, service management, vendor relationships and continuous service improvement.
• Demonstrated experience managing team capacity, prioritisation and resource allocation across multiple competing commitments.
• Broad technical knowledge of enterprise applications, databases, integrations, cloud services, identity management, cyber security controls and business continuity practices.
• Experience with platforms and technologies such as Workday, ServiceNow, TechnologyOne, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power BI, APIs, PowerShell and SQL.
• Understanding of AI, Generative AI, automation and intelligent applications, including associated opportunities, risks and governance requirements.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical and supportable technology outcomes.
• A structured and accountable leader who demonstrates sound judgement, critical thinking and disciplined follow through.
