The Star Sydney is seeking a Technology Controls Manager on a 12-month contract to lead controls testing across technology, cyber and data risk. Reporting to the Director Controls and Testing and Compliance, you will ensure regulatory requirements are met and risk is managed effectively.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in technology risk, knowledge of audit standards, and familiarity with NIST, ISO 27000 and PCI DSS. The role offers a dynamic environment within a renowned hospitality group.

Technology Controls Manager | 12 Month Contract Opportunity

As a Technology Controls Manager, reporting to the Director Controls and Testing and Compliance, you will lead defined controls testing with a focus on Technology controls.

The role will ensure that compliance and operational risks are effectively identified, assessed managed, while supporting The Star Sydney in meeting its regulatory requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for our Risk and Compliance team on a 12-month contract.

A few of your responsibilities:

• Lead walkthroughs to identify, document, and assess technology, cyber, and data risk, including obligations and controls
• Execute technology control testing to evaluate design, effectiveness, residual risk, and compliance with frameworks and regulatory requirements
• Drive improvements to obligations and controls to strengthen the risk management environment
• Escalate key technology, cyber, and data risk issues to relevant governance forums

What we are looking for:

• Strong understanding of technology operational risk and controls in large, complex, regulated environments
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in technology risk management
• Knowledge of audit and assessment standards (e.g. CISA, CRISC)
