Job summary

United Forklift and Access Solutions in Cairns, QLD is seeking a Field Service Mechanic for a full-time, permanent role based in Cairns. You will service forklifts, access equipment and material handling machinery, travel to customer sites to troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Automotive, Mobile Plant or Heavy Diesel.

• Electrical and hydraulic experience is highly regarded.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Cairns, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while still being part of a supportive network. As a Field Service Mechanic, you will

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on forklifts, access equipment, and material handling machinery
• Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot and fix issues
• Keep machines running safely and efficiently
• Provide high-quality service to support customer satisfaction

We're looking for someone with

• Trade qualification in Automotive, Mobile Plant, or Heavy Diesel Mechanics
• Experience working with forklift and access equipment
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Electrical and hydraulic experience (highly regarded)
