Job summary

Komatsu Australia is seeking a Mobile/Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join the Wacol Field Service Team. You will diagnose faults, repair mobile plant equipment, and keep precise service records while supporting major field activities at customer sites.

You’ll work 7am–4pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime as required. A trade qualification, strong diagnostic skills, and safety focus are essential, with licences including a manual and forklift advantageous.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Mobile Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across mobile plant equipment.
• Solid hydraulic diagnosis and repair experience.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently or in a high performing team.
• Ability to deliver high level customer service per the Charter.
• A current Manual driver’s licence; forklift licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose faults and repair mobile plant equipment.

Shift hours: 7am – 4pm, Monday to Friday with OT as required.

Location: Wacol, QLD – Field Based

What You’ll Bring:

• Trade qualification as a Mobile Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent).
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across all types of mobile plant equipment.
• Solid experience with hydraulic diagnosis and repair.
• A strong safety mindset and the ability to work independently or as part of a high-performing team.
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service in line with our Customer Support Charter
• A current Manual driver’s licence and forklift licence is advantageous.
