Job summary

Komatsu Australia is seeking a Mobile Plant Mechanic in the Wacol, QLD region to join our Field Service Team. You’ll diagnose faults, repair mobile plant equipment and test monitoring systems on-site, ensuring safety and high standards.

You’ll build strong relationships with customers and colleagues, support major field maintenance activities, and contribute to a zero-harm culture while enjoying family-friendly benefits and career development.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Mobile Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent).
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across mobile plant equipment.
• Solid experience with hydraulic diagnosis and repair.
• Safety minded with the ability to work independently or as part of a high-performing team.
• Customer service oriented and able to follow the Customer Support Charter.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair mobile plant equipment.

• Complete accurate technical reports and service documentation.

The Opportunity

Love diagnostics and mobile plant machinery? Join our Wacol Field Service Team and take your skills into the field, maintaining and repairing Komatsu customer equipment safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose faults and repair mobile plant equipment.
• Test and adjust machine operating and monitoring systems.
• Complete accurate technical reports and service documentation.
• Support major field-based maintenance activities.
• Work safely and efficiently across customer sites.
• Build strong relationships with customers and your team.

Shift hours: 7am – 4pm, Monday to Friday with OT as required.

Location: Wacol, QLD – Field Based

What You'll Bring:

• Trade qualification as a Mobile Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent).
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across all types of mobile plant equipment.
• Solid experience with hydraulic diagnosis and repair.
• A strong safety mindset and the ability to work independently or as part of a high-performing team.
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service in line with our Customer Support Charter
• A current Manual driver’s licence and forklift licence is advantageous.
