Job summary

Exclaim IT | IT Recruitment Agency is seeking experienced Content Designers to support the development and delivery of high-quality content across teams. Content Designers ensure content aligns with strategic objectives while meeting user needs.

These are Baseline roles requiring a current Baseline security clearance. Location of work includes QLD, ACT and VIC, with challenging content projects across government and defence contexts.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with stakeholders to support technical publications through all phases of development.
• Conduct research to develop mitigation advice for the target audience.
• Create and publish content across publications, web, social media and eLearning.
• Liaise with stakeholders regarding technical consultation and campaigns.
• Design, develop, review and manage complex information deliverables with accessibility in mind.
• Support measurement activities: data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Apply UX design principles to create accessible, user-focused content.

About the role

We are seeking experienced Content Designers to support the development and delivery of high-quality content across teams. Content Designers ensure content aligns with strategic objectives while meeting the needs of users.

These are Baseline roles, and candidates must hold a current Baseline security clearance.
Location of work:QLD, ACT, VIC

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with stakeholders to support technical publications through all phases of development, including research, scoping, consultation, review and publishing.


• Conduct research to develop mitigation advice that is technically accurate and suitable for the intended audience.


• Create and publish content consistent with organizational messaging, including publications, web content, social media posts, eLearning materials and other interactive tools.


• Liaise with stakeholders regarding technical consultation and promotion of content through campaigns and other initiatives.


• Design, develop, review and manage complex information deliverables, ensuring quality, consistency, accessibility and appropriate use of publishing channels.


• Support measurement activities, including data collection, analysis and reporting.


• Apply user experience design principles to create effective, accessible and user-focused content and interactions.

Highly desirable criteria

• Demonstrated experience in Content Authoring at SFIA Level 4, including designing complex information deliverables, managing content quality and consistency, and taking responsibility for appropriate publication.


• Demonstrated experience in Content Publishing at SFIA Level 4, including selecting appropriate publishing channels, maintaining content management processes and advising content authors on publishing tools and techniques.


• Demonstrated ability to build and foster strong stakeholder relationships.


• Strong research and written communication skills, with a focus on technical writing and content editing.

Desirable criteria

• Experience developing technical publications and content for complex or highly regulated environments.


• Experience creating web content, social media content, eLearning materials and interactive digital content.


• Experience applying user experience, accessibility, usability and visual design principles to content development.


• Experience working with content management systems and digital publishing platforms.


• Experience working within government, defence, intelligence, cyber security or other security-sensitive environments.

• Experience applying user experience design practices consistent with SFIA Level 3, including storyboards, wireframes and prototypes.


• Strong understanding of usability, accessibility and visual design principles.


• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage competing priorities.


• Current Baseline security clearance.
