Job summary

Newmont Australia is seeking a Training Lead at Tanami to coordinate and deliver high‑quality technical training for our underground workforce. You will work with site leaders, trainers and external providers to ensure workforce competency, compliance and safe performance in a remote mining environment.

You will design engaging learning materials, assess across departments, and drive continuous improvement while supporting FIFO operations and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116, TAE40122)
• Experience developing and delivering technical training within mining, resources or a heavy industrial environment
• Experience designing engaging learning materials and training programs
• Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory training requirements
• Excellent facilitation, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence diverse audiences
• Proficiency across Microsoft Office and digital learning systems
• Auditor qualifications and leadership experience
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams with a continuous improvement mindset
• Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence
• Ability to work FIFO roster arrangements

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver technical training aligned to operational and compliance requirements
• Develop training materials and learning resources using adult learning principles
• Conduct assessments across a range of operational departments and work groups
• Monitor training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement opportunities
• Partner with external training providers and industry bodies to maintain best practice
• Support compliance with legislative, regulatory and Newmont training requirements
• Coach and mentor employees to build capability and improve workplace performance
• Mentor SMEs and Crew Trainers to assist with training activities
• Routinely generate and analyse training reports to identify training needs and improvements
• Maintain accurate training records and utilise technology to support learning and reporting
