Job summary

Newmont Australia seeks a Crusher Conveyor Operator Maintainer for the Tanami site in the Northern Territory. This on-site, FIFO role keeps crushing and conveyor systems running safely and efficiently in a remote mining environment.

You will inspect equipment, respond to alarms, and support maintenance to improve reliability while following site SOPs and safety standards. The role offers growth within a global company committed to safety and communities.

Qualifications

• Experience with conveyors, crushers, chutes and fixed plant equipment in mining.
• Knowledge of safety requirements, hazard identification and site SOPs.
• Hands-on ability to inspect machinery, identify faults and support isolations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor crushing and conveyor systems to maintain safe ore flow.
• Inspect conveyors, belts, rollers, chutes and guarding for wear or hazards.
• Respond to alarms and process irregularities; escalate to minimise production disruption.
• Support planned and unplanned maintenance through isolations and housekeeping.
• Coordinate with maintenance and control room teams for safe shift handovers.
