Job summary

Newmont Australia is seeking a Manager, Technical Services to lead a multidisciplinary underground mining technical team at Tanami. You will partner with Mine Operations and site leadership to deliver safe, reliable and efficient production outcomes in a remote FIFO environment.

The role focuses on integrating planning, geology, geotechnical and ventilation disciplines with operational execution, governance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive underground hard rock mining experience.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary Technical Services teams.
• Strong planning, geology, geotechnical and ventilation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technical Services function across all underground disciplines.
• Develop and implement operational and business plans aligned to site objectives.
• Drive short, medium and long-range mine planning processes.
• Partner with operations to optimise performance, productivity and cost.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and 12-week planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Govern and mitigate technical, operational and business risks.
• Champion continuous improvement and adoption of new mining technologies.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, contractors and regulators.
• Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
