Job summary

Newmont is seeking a Superintendent, Project Controls for its Tanami operation in the Northern Territory. The role leads cost control, planning, scheduling, forecasting and governance across sustaining capital projects while collaborating with engineers, operations and procurement to drive safe, on-time delivery.

You will oversee risk, change control and reporting, provide strategic insights to leadership and champion safety on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost control, planning and scheduling across capital projects.
• Ability to lead project controls teams and governance across a portfolio.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with operations, engineering and procurement.
• Knowledge of HSE and regulatory requirements in mining.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site-based Project Controls team for cost control, planning, scheduling, forecasting, reporting and governance.
• Provide controls leadership across Sustaining Capital and ensure accurate performance reporting.
• Collaborate with engineers, operations, safety and procurement to enable project delivery.
• Oversee costs, schedules, estimates and progress reporting aligned to gate requirements.
• Manage risk, change control and governance processes; drive improvements.
• Lead monthly portfolio reporting and provide insights to site and senior leadership.
• Ensure QA, document control and compliance with corporate governance.
• Promote safety leadership and a strong safety culture on site.
