Talius is seeking a hands-on Technical System Engineer to lead the technical configuration, deployment, and commissioning of our software and infrastructure across aged care and hospital environments. This role is pivotal to ensuring the successful delivery and operational readiness of our platform at client sites.

This is a client-facing, delivery-oriented role, requiring strong application deployment and configuration experience, backend configuration, and hands-on deployment of critical applications and IoT devices.

Core Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure Talius software, services, and infrastructure across client environments.
• Execute end-to-end system delivery, including environment setup, backend configuration, and testing.
• Perform validation and commissioning of applications, device integrations, and APIs.
• Conduct database tasks using SQL and MongoDB (querying, data validation, basic administration).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during rollout and post-deployment.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams (Delivery, Product, Support) and client stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed deployment documentation and support handover to support operations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years in systems engineering, technical delivery, or IT Delivery roles.
• Hands-on experience deploying and commissioning systems in aged care, hospitals, or regulated environments.
• Proficiency in backend environments (Linux/Windows), API integrations, and basic scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent written documentation and technical communication.
• Exposure to DevOps tools or practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation, infrastructure as code).
• Foundational experience in database systems (especially SQL and MongoDB),
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, secure system design, or containerisation.
• Experience with healthcare-specific platforms (e.g. nurse call, RTLS, monitoring platforms).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of deployment methodologies.
• Certifications in AWS/Azure pipelines, or Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) -Preferred, not Mandatory
