Job summary

ATCO Gas Australia invites graduates to join a two‑year Graduate Engineer program. You’ll rotate through four engineering teams every six months, gaining hands‑on experience in asset services, technical compliance, distribution network and customer projects.

You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, support evaluations, design, planning and scheduling, and build relationships with industry bodies, government agencies and contractors to deliver projects.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate (or final semester) with a relevant engineering degree.
• No more than 2 years of full-time industry experience.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

This 2-year program offers a unique opportunity to rotate through 4 different engineering teams every 6 months. These may include Asset Services, Technical Compliance, Distribution Network, Technical Services, Engineering Enquiries and Customer Projects.

• Collaborate with experienced professionals to develop your technical skills
• Support technical evaluations, design, planning, and scheduling for network construction, alterations, main replacements, and other associated projects
• Build relationships with industry professionals, government agencies and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes
• Work closely with teams like Project Engineers, the Drawing Office, the Capital Infrastructure team, field‑based employees and other utilities and contractors

What You'll Learn:

• Project, stakeholder and risk management expertise
• Enhanced oral and written communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and time management skills
• The ability to effectively manage and deliver multiple priorities
• Gain experience across all aspects of engineering and asset ownership with a respected Perth Utility to help you choose which way you want to take your engineering career.

Skills & Experience:

• We are seeking a recent graduate (or final semester) with a degree in either Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Process Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• No more than 2 years of full‑time industry experience
