Peabody is seeking a Technical Services Superintendent to join our Coppabella Mine team in Queensland. This on-site leadership role will oversee the technical services function, guiding mine planning, geology, and survey disciplines with a focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related discipline.
• Proven leadership experience in open-cut coal mining operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of mine planning, design, and scheduling software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Technical Services team to achieve operational and strategic goals.
• Oversee mine planning, design, and scheduling to optimise production and resource recovery.
• Provide technical expertise and support to operations, ensuring compliance with statutory and company standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, projects, and corporate functions.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of technical data and performance metrics.
