Job summary

As Technical Services Manager, you will lead a high-performing team, shape technology strategy, and ensure technology enables clinicians, staff, and patients with reliable services and strong governance.

Qualifications

  • Formal qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of extensive technical/people management experience.
  • Proven leadership of a medium-sized technical team (10+ direct reports).
  • Strong background in end-user computing, infrastructure, and on-site technology operations.
  • Solid understanding of IT governance, security, compliance frameworks, and enterprise technology standards.
  • Certifications in ITIL and/or relevant technical domains.
  • Experience in asset lifecycle management, procurement processes, and vendor engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing on-site technical support planning and delivery, ensuring timely incident resolution and service requests across hospital stakeholders.
  • Maintaining asset management, device lifecycle, security compliance, and technology standards.
  • Providing data-driven reporting and insights to the Director of Service Delivery on performance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Identifying opportunities for process/tools automation to improve productivity and reduce risk.
  • Leading a technical team with evidence-based coaching, performance management and capability development.
  • Partnering with clinical and business leaders to align technology strategy with patient care goals.

You will make an impact by

  • Overseeing the planning and delivery of on‑site technical support, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests noting demand from hospital stakeholders.
  • Maintaining strong operational discipline across asset management, device lifecycle, security compliance, and technology standards.
  • Providingclear, data‑driven reporting and insights to Director of Service Delivery highlighting performance trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement, recommending tools, processes, or automation that enhance productivity or reduce risk.
  • Formal qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive technical/people management experience (Minimum 5–10 years)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing a medium‑sized technical team (10+ direct reports) with proven capability in coaching, performance management, and capability development.
  • Strong background in end‑user computing, infrastructure, and on‑site technology operations.
  • Proven ability to build strong business relationships and influence senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted technology partner.
  • Solid understanding of IT governance, security, compliance frameworks, and enterprise technology standards.
  • Certifications in ITIL and/or relevant technical domains.
  • Experience in asset lifecycle management, procurement processes, and vendor engagement.
  • Experience translating business needs into technology solutions and driving continuous improvement initiatives
