- Significant experience diagnosing and repairing Caterpillar engines, machines, power systems, or related equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electronic systems.
- Experience working with diesel engines, electronic controls, emissions systems, power train systems, or engine applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong customer focus and relationship‑building capability.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a range of experience levels.
- Willingness to travel throughout Australia and New Zealand, with occasional international travel.
- Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Plant Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a qualified mechanic, with a strong interest in developing a career in technical training, coaching, or workforce development.
- Previous experience delivering technical training, mentoring, coaching, or workplace instruction.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. (not essential)
- Experience working within the Caterpillar dealer network.
- Advanced diagnostic and technical specialist certifications.
