Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an experienced Training Consultant to design, develop and deliver MineStar service training for dealers and mining customers.

Based in Perth or Brisbane, the role requires hands‑on MineStar deployment knowledge and strong training capabilities to upskill dealer technicians and customer staff on installation, configuration, integration and maintenance. Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands‑on experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and supporting MineStar systems in mining environments.
• Strong understanding of onboard mining technology, machine electronics, communications systems and system integration.
• Experience working directly on mobile mining equipment and supporting mining technology deployments in operational environments.
• Well‑developed diagnostic and fault‑finding skills across hardware, software and communications systems.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technicians and service personnel.
• Willingness to travel to support dealer and customer training requirements.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Training Consultant to join Resource Industries, responsible for designing, developing and delivering MineStar service training programs for Caterpillar dealers and mining customers. Based in Perth or Brisbane, this role is ideal for someone with strong practical experience installing, commissioning, integrating, maintaining and troubleshooting MineStar, or similar mining technology systems.

You will play a key role in building the capability of dealer technicians and customer support personnel, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to safely support and maintain MineStar solutions in operational mining environments.

Whether you’re an experienced trainer or a technical specialist looking to move into a training-focused role, your field experience, technical expertise and ability to translate complex concepts into practical learning outcomes will be critical to your success.

What You Will Bring

• Demonstrated hands‑on experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and supporting MineStar systems in mining environments.
• Strong understanding of onboard mining technology, machine electronics, communications systems and system integration.
• Experience working directly on mobile mining equipment and supporting mining technology deployments in operational environments.
• Well‑developed diagnostic and fault‑finding skills across hardware, software and communications systems.

Highly Regarded

• Experience with MineStar Fleet, Terrain, Health or Command products.
• Caterpillar dealer or OEM field service experience.
• Experience delivering technical training, mentoring or coaching technicians.
• Trade, technical or engineering qualifications relevant to mining technology, electrical systems, communications or mobile equipment.
• Background in mining, heavy mobile equipment, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial environments.

What Will Set You Apart

The successful candidate will bring practical field experience and a strong understanding of how MineStar systems are installed, integrated, commissioned and supported on mining equipment.

While experience using MineStar as an operator, planner, dispatcher or system administrator is valuable, this role is best suited to candidates who have directly supported the deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of MineStar technologies on machines.

Additional Information

• Site‑based in Perth or Brisbane (5 days per week)
• Also you will be required to travel for 30 to 60% of the time
