Job summary

Rockcote is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our field-based team, supporting customers, applicator networks and the sales team. You will provide technical support on product selection, system suitability, substrate requirements and site assessments.

This role involves regular travel across Sydney and NSW, interstate as required, with a company vehicle provided. You will contribute to product investigations and technical training for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, building products, coatings, rendering or related technical industry.
• Strong understanding of products, substrates, application and construction systems.
• Experience providing technical advice or investigating technical or product-related issues.
• Confidence working directly with customers, applicators and industry professionals.
• Strong communication, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• Good judgement, organisation and the ability to work independently.
• A current Australian driver's licence and Construction White Card.
• Willingness to travel to customer and project sites, including occasional interstate travel.
• Experience with technical or product training and Australian building standards will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on product selection, system suitability, substrates and application requirements.
• Assist customers and applicators with technical enquiries and guidance on Rockcote products and systems.
• Manage Product Investigations, including site assessment, information gathering, recommendations and reporting.
• Attend customer and project sites to assess product, substrate, application and system issues.
• Identify and elevate complex or higher-risk technical issues to the Technical Team.
• Support product trials, demonstrations and other field-based technical activities.
• Support training for applicators and internal/external product and technical sessions.
• Build relationships with customers and applicators and relay field feedback to improve products and resources.
• Maintain accurate records of PIs, site visits and technical enquiries in Rockcote systems.

Rockcote is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team in a hands‑on, field‑based role supporting our customers, applicator network and sales team.

You will provide technical support on more complex enquiries, including product and system selection, substrate suitability and application requirements, as well as site assessments, Product Investigations and technical training.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to Business Development Manaagers and Account Managers on customer enquiries, including product selection, system suitability, substrates and application requirements.

Assist customers and applicators with technical enquiries and provide practical guidance on Rockcote products and systems.

Manage Product Investigations, including site assessment, information gathering, recommendations, reporting and customer follow-up.

Attend customer and project sites to assess product, substrate, application and system-related issues.

Identify and elevate complex or higher-risk technical issues to the Technical Team.

Support product trials, demonstrations and other field-based technical activities.

Support internal and external product and technical training, including applicator education.

Build strong relationships with customers and applicators and communicate field feedback to help improve products, systems and technical resources.

Maintain accurate records of PIs, site visits and technical enquiries in Rockcote systems.
