Job summary

Thales in Benalla (Australia) seeks a hands-on specialist to support the safe operations of melting, mixing, pouring or pressing ordnance. You will provide trade guidance and technical support within the team, and prepare technical reports for assigned tasks.

You will implement process improvements of safety, quality or efficiency, work independently or with limited supervision, and carry out non‑trade tasks that support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Strong communicator with conflict‑management and teamwork skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability.
• Knowledge of ammunition products, production processes and hazardous environments.
• Familiarity with Lean/Continuous Improvement, project management, root cause analysis and configuration management.

Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. YOUR ROLE

A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
