Job summary

Thales in Australia seeks a production support specialist to assist operations teams with radiography (X-Ray) skills and quality issue resolution within munitions programs. You will contribute to continuous improvement projects and support key project testing as directed.

The role requires good teamwork, clear communication, and strong attention to detail, with security clearances and pre-employment checks part of the process.

Qualifications

• Ideally trade qualified (Engineering/Science) or Year 12 with maths/science.
• Enjoy working within a team environment.
• Clear and influential verbal and written communication.
• A high attention to detail.
• Technical report writing skills an advantage.
• High levels of organisational ability to meet required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Providing production support to operations teams under the guidance of appropriately qualified radiographers.
• Attaining and maintaining key radiography skills (X-Ray) including successful examinations.
• Lead or assist with the resolution of product quality issues.
• Driving or actively participate in munitions continuous improvement projects.
• Support the delivery of key projects and testing operations as directed.
• Other Duties as assigned

Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world's most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.

YOUR ROLE

A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
