Job summary

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a Technical Officer – Corridor Management in Rockhampton. The role focuses on managing activities that impact road reserves and transport networks, including permit assessments, technical advice, and monitoring for compliance.

You will collaborate with developers, utilities, contractors and government bodies to ensure safe, compliant outcomes and support major projects delivering community benefit. A satisfactory Police Check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in traffic management, corridor management, civil infrastructure or a related field, supported by relevant qualifications and an understanding of applicable legislation, standards and policies.
• Strong technical and analytical skills, with experience assessing applications, permits, compliance matters or infrastructure-related activities within a regulatory environment
• Exceptional ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgement and deliver practical, customer-focused solutions in a dynamic environment.
• Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and achieve positive outcomes across industry, government and community stakeholders.
• A continuous improvement mindset, with the initiative to identify opportunities, enhance processes and improve service delivery.
