Job summary

Rockhampton Regional Council seeks a Technical Officer – Corridor Management to shape road network operations and support future infrastructure needs in Rockhampton. You will assess permits, provide technical advice and monitor compliance across transport corridors.

Working with developers, utility providers and government agencies, you’ll deliver practical outcomes while managing competing priorities and ensuring safety and compliance in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in traffic management, corridor management, civil infrastructure or related field with understanding of legislation, standards and policies.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with experience assessing applications, permits and compliance matters.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise judgement and deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills across industry, government and community.
• Continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities and improve service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assess permit applications and monitor compliance affecting road reserves and transport network.
• Provide technical advice and support delivery of major projects.
• Coordinate with developers, utility providers, contractors and government agencies.
• Ensure adherence to legislation, standards and policies in a regulatory environment.
• Support road network operations and transport corridor decisions.
