Southern Rural Water in Maffra is seeking a Technical Officer to provide hands-on technical and mechanical support across the MID. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain automated, mechanical, and electrical systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the irrigation network alongside a supportive team.

Technical Services Band B: $71,851 – $83,148 per annum plus 12% statutory superannuation.

We are seeking a Technical Officer to provide hands on technical and mechanical support across the Macalister Irrigation District (MID). As a member of the Water Supply East team, you will be the first point of contact for maintenance, diagnostics and fault repair, helping to ensure our systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently.
You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting a range of automated, mechanical and electrical systems across the MID. This is a practical role that will see you working across a diverse range of equipment and systems, using your technical skills to identify issues, resolve faults and support the ongoing operation of the irrigation network.
This is a great opportunity to broaden your technical skill set while working alongside a supportive and experienced team. Training will be provided on industry specific equipment, systems and processes to support you in developing the skills required to succeed in the role.
