Job summary

Regional Group Australia (RGA) seeks an experienced Technical Manager - VIC Quarries to lead sampling, testing, and reporting of quarry products at sites around Pakenham, Melbourne, VIC. The role ensures product quality, technical compliance, and integrity of test results while supporting production teams with timely technical feedback.

Responsibilities include maintaining testing frequencies, producing traceable results, raising NCRs, and liaising with production staff on quality status.

Qualifications

• Current driver's licence is required.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel between quarry sites.
• Strong commitment to safety, integrity and quality.
• High level of detail and accuracy in testing and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Clear and effective communication with technical and operational teams.
• Professional conduct and ethical decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling and testing of quarry products per Australian Standards and DTP methods.
• Maintain testing frequencies as per Inspection & Test Plans.
• Produce accurate, objective, and traceable test results.
• Report any incidence of undue influence on test outcomes.
• Raise non-conformances per NCR procedures.
• Liaise with quarry production staff on quality and compliance status.
• Maintain and calibrate lab and field testing equipment.
• Prioritise testing activities based on urgency and production needs.
