Job summary

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is seeking a Technical Lead to shape design, development and delivery of scalable tech solutions for its MyAccount platform across 4 brands. You’ll guide engineers, champion modern practices, and mentor talent, collaborating with product teams and architects to drive customer-focused outcomes.

You will work with a stack including TypeScript, React, Next.js on the frontend, Fastify on the backend and Auth0 authentication, supporting ~700,000 members globally.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' professional experience in a senior software engineering role.
• Hands-on Auth0 experience including passwordless flows.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and software delivery.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing engineering teams.
• Knowledge of modern architectural patterns like microservices and serverless.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of technical solutions aligned to customer and business needs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers, collaborating with architects and stakeholders.
• Drive Agile practices, continuous delivery, and engineering excellence.
• Manage technical debt and adopt modern architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, serverless).
• Ensure reliability and security of production systems through proactive risk management.
