Flight Centre Travel Group is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to shape the design, development, and delivery of innovative technical solutions. You will guide a team of engineers, collaborate with product teams and stakeholders, and promote modern software engineering practices.

The role sits in Integration Services, focusing on end-to-end booking experiences with a stack including TypeScript, NestJS, and AWS services (Lambda, SNS/SQS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years' professional experience in a senior software engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js/TypeScript backend development; NestJS and AWS-native services strongly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across the team by guiding solution design and overcoming challenges.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers to build a high-performing team.
• Champion Agile, continuous delivery, test automation, and engineering excellence.
• Drive modern software architectures, including microservices, event-driven, and serverless patterns.
• Ensure production systems' reliability, security, and ongoing support.
