Job summary

Talenza is seeking a Technical Lead in Brisbane to guide a customer platform using Node, TypeScript and AWS serverless architecture. You will write code 30–50% of the time and steer architectural decisions with the team.

You’ll mentor engineers, balance delivery and quality, and work closely with stakeholders on scalable, secure solutions incorporating AI tools. Hybrid working in Australia.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong AWS/serverless experience (Lambda, SNS/SQS).
• Proficient in TypeScript and API design.
• Ability to mentor engineers and communicate with stakeholders.
• Interest in applying AI tools to software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Guide technical direction and architecture for a customer platform.
• Lead and mentor a small engineering team; balance quality and delivery.
• Write code portions in Node/TypeScript ~30–50% of the time.
• Design scalable, secure serverless APIs and data flows.
• Collaborate with the architect and stakeholders to scope work.
