Job summary

Clicks IT Recruitment partners with a leading financial services organisation to secure an experienced Technical Lead (Network Infrastructure) in Sydney. The role focuses on leadership, delivery oversight, and ensuring successful network initiatives within a large-scale enterprise.

You will lead a two-person network team, drive technical direction, and collaborate with architects, project managers, vendors and stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performance network solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Cisco networking experience across LAN/WAN environments.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco DNA Centre and enterprise networking platforms.
• Expertise in F5 technologies (LTM, GTM and BIG-IQ).
• Experience with Cisco and/or Palo Alto firewalls.
• Proven ability to lead infrastructure projects and influence technical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of network infrastructure projects and initiatives.
• Manage and mentor a team of network engineers.
• Take end-to-end ownership of project deliverables and outcomes.
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex networking and security issues.
• Work closely with architects, project managers, vendors and business stakeholders.
• Influence technical decisions and infrastructure roadmaps.
• Analyse network performance and security data, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Support infrastructure security hardening and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Produce technical documentation, reports and automation scripts.
• Participate in incident response and major issue resolution activities.
• Drive engineering best practices and knowledge sharing across the team.
