Job summary

FinXL is expanding its Network Engineering Practice and seeks an experienced Network Engineering Team Lead to guide major infrastructure and security initiatives for an Enterprise Banking organisation. The role is Sydney-based with a hybrid work model and requires hands-on expertise with Cisco ACI and F5.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience within enterprise networking environments.
• Solid knowledge of network security hardening, risk mitigation, and compliance.
• Experience evaluating and adopting emerging networking tech (SD-WAN, ACI, NSX, SDA).
• Experience managing vendor performance and conducting service reviews.
• Background in capacity planning, lifecycle management, and architectural design.
• Strong ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver network infrastructure components for strategic enterprise initiatives.
• Drive operational readiness, resilience, and performance of enterprise network services.
• Lead network security hardening and ensure compliance with risk and security requirements.
• Produce and maintain technology standards, procedures, and architectural documentation.
• Manage vendor performance, delivery oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach, mentor, and manage the performance of Network Services engineers.
• Oversee incidents, problems, changes, and service improvements via ITIL practices.
