Job summary

West Recruitment in Sydney is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own projects from concept through commissioning. You will lead mechanical design for pumping and fluid management packages, collaborating with drafters, fabricators, suppliers and clients to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and experience with heavy industrial projects, piping systems, skid packages and fabrications.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree and heavy industrial project experience.
• Experience with piping systems, skid packages and associated mechanical equipment.
• Exposure to project delivery roles (project engineer, mechanical engineer or design engineer).

Responsibilities

• Designing and specifying mechanical equipment packages (piping, skids, valves, auxiliary equipment).
• Reviewing and improving designs for efficiency and constructability.
• Coordinating suppliers, fabricators and internal delivery teams through execution, inspection and handover.
• Providing technical guidance to drafting and support teams.
• Supporting commissioning and site-based activities as needed.
• Working across multiple projects to drive engineering standards and delivery.
