Job summary

Data#3 in Australia is seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Systems & Infrastructure to provide hands-on technical leadership across a complex hybrid environment. You will mentor Systems & Infrastructure specialists and collaborate with stakeholders, vendors and wider technology teams.

You will guide incident and problem management, lead design reviews and ensure robust Azure, Windows Server and IT infrastructure services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience across Systems/Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on with Windows Server, AD/Entra ID, Azure and PowerShell.
• Solid data centre, networking, virtualization, storage and backup/DR experience.
• Experience across hybrid on-prem/cloud environments.
• Strong technical design and troubleshooting capability.
• Demonstrated people leadership, mentoring and stakeholder management skills.
• Confident communicator across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with ServiceNow / ITSM environments.
• ITIL Foundation certification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to Systems & Infrastructure teams.
• Be a strong people person who builds relationships, develops team capability and brings people together.
• Act as the escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and problems.
• Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural input.
• Support Windows Server, AD/Entra ID, Azure, Intune and Microsoft 365.
• Oversee virtualization, storage, networking, backup and disaster recovery.
• Contribute to Azure infrastructure including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN and vWAN.
• Drive effective use of ServiceNow for incident, problem, change and service management.
• Support cyber security, patching, monitoring and resilience initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership across infrastructure projects and solution implementations.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and vendors to ensure technology services meet organisational needs.
