Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastructure Architect to join a dynamic technology team in Sydney. You will lead hands-on delivery of Microsoft-based infrastructure projects, work with PMs and business stakeholders to scope, design and deliver end-to-end solutions.

You will own designs, provide technical leadership, and help mature delivery and architecture practices across Azure/hybrid environments, VMware and Windows Server.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ infrastructure / systems engineering experience.
• Strong Microsoft / Windows Server expertise.
• Proven end-to-end delivery experience.
• Financial Services experience in a regulated environment.
• Azure and/hybrid infrastructure experience.
• Strong networking fundamentals and VMware exposure.
• Understanding of security, resilience, availability and DR.
• Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership.
• Hands-on approach and willing to own solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure solutions from requirements and design through to delivery.
• Lead hands-on technical implementation of infrastructure projects.
• Work with project managers and business stakeholders to scope solutions.
• Develop technical designs, architecture documentation and implementation plans.
• Provide technical leadership while collaborating with other technical teams.
• Work across Microsoft infrastructure, Azure/hybrid environments and virtualization.
• Contribute to the maturity of infrastructure delivery and architecture practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, resilience and security.
