pay.com.au, supported by affix, is seeking the first technical lead to own delivery across the growth funnel and payment flow. You will shape the roadmap, build AI-driven, multi-agent workflows, and contribute across front-end and back-end engineering.

The role offers a green-field environment with ownership and direct visibility into engineering practice. Hybrid work and a high-growth fintech context are key features.

Qualifications

• Full-stack engineers with a front-end lean and UX-heavy flows.
• Experience building AI-forward, multi-agent workflows.
• Led technical direction for a team, ideally as a first tech lead or in green-field settings.
• Growth, activation or onboarding experience is a bonus.
• FinTech experience is also a bonus but not mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Own technical delivery across the growth funnel and the make-a-payment flow.
• Shape priorities as the roadmap comes together.
• Build an AI-native multi-agent workflow into how the team ships.
• Maintain a 60/40 split between hands-on coding and engineering practice.
• Report to the CTO or equivalent in the tech-leads group.
