Job summary

Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action VIC invites applications for Forest and Fire Operations Officer – Technical Lead. The role focuses on leading work groups and supervising operational tasks and fire prevention across Victoria’s forests, parks and public land.

Ideal candidates will have bushfire response or forest operations experience and a strong background in natural resource management.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working in bushfire response or forest operations is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding in natural resource management, preferably with good knowledge of forest management and forest operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational tasks and fire prevention activities within Victoria's state forests, national parks and protected public land.
• Lead and coordinate work groups, ensuring safety, efficiency and timely output in emergency response and planned burning operations.
• Potential deployment across the state to support environmental preservation and public safety objectives.
