AECOM is seeking a Technical Director - Mechanical Engineering (Buildings) to lead strategic delivery in Melbourne. The role requires Chartered Engineer status and 18+ years in Building Services or mechanical design, with strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills to build
Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer with professional registration or equivalent
- 18+ years' experience in Building Services or mechanical design
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects and manage client relationships
- Strong knowledge of Building Services standards and client guidance
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration across senior stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership across major multidisciplinary projects
- Lead and grow client relationships across health, defence, aviation and more in Melbourne
- Set design direction and ensure high-quality mechanical deliverables
- Mentor engineering talent and develop career pathways
- Contribute to business growth through work winning and market engagement
