Job summary

Highpoint Engineering Recruitment seeks a Technical Director - Electrical (Building Services) to lead the design and technical delivery of major electrical projects in Brisbane, across venues, healthcare, defence and commercial sectors. You’ll stay hands-on technically while guiding teams and maintaining project quality and risk management.

With 15–25+ years in building services consulting and professional accreditation (RPEQ, CPEng), you’ll shape Brisbane 2032 projects and mentor engineers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• RPEQ and CPEng accreditation
• 15-25+ years of building services consulting experience
• Demonstrated experience leading complex multidisciplinary projects
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management capability
• A passion for technical excellence and mentoring others
• Deep understanding of Australian building services design and project delivery

Responsibilities

• Act as the Technical Lead and Design Authority for major electrical building services projects
• Lead technical design reviews and provide final quality assurance sign-off
• Advise clients, project teams and stakeholders on complex engineering challenges
• Drive technical innovation and best practice across the business
• Mentor engineers through hand-on project involvement
• Contribute specialist expertise to major pursuits, bids and client presentations
