Job summary

Coforge in Sydney is seeking a Technical Manager - GitHub Platform Uplift who will own the delivery of the uplift roadmap across platform, security, and engineering stakeholders. Qualifications

• Strong CI/CD engineering experience with GitHub Actions and secure runner patterns.
• Practical DevSecOps experience across code security and vulnerability management.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Strong automation skills with IaC and scripting.
• Excellent communication for executive updates and runbooks.

Job title: Technical Manager - GitHub Platform Uplift

The Technical Manager owns the delivery of the GitHub uplift roadmap across platform, security and engineering stakeholders. The role is structured as an equal balance of 50% delivery leadership and 50% technical execution, combining roadmap ownership, stakeholder coordination and governance with hands-on GitHub Enterprise, DevSecOps and CI/CD platform uplift capability.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can work independently, manage delivery outcomes, make informed technical decisions and coordinate SMEs across cyber, identity, cloud, engineering and vendor teams. The role is accountable for practical GitHub platform uplift, secure CI/CD patterns, migration planning, operational readiness, documentation and adoption across engineering teams.

Key Requirements

• 8+ years of platform engineering experience in a regulated or enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to own a technical delivery stream end-to-end, manage stakeholders, track risks and deliver outcomes with minimal oversight.
• Strong GitHub Enterprise administration experience, including enterprise and organization settings, repository governance, access controls and security features.
• Experience supporting GitHub migrations, onboarding or large-scale adoption activities, including identity, repository and team transition planning.
• Strong CI/CD engineering experience, including GitHub Actions, pipeline automation, secrets management and secure runner patterns.
• Practical DevSecOps experience across code security, dependency management, vulnerability management, container security and policy enforcement.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and other container platforms, including operational support, workload configuration and platform reliability practices.
• Strong automation skills using scripting, Infrastructure as Code, configuration-as-code or similar approaches.
• Good understanding of observability, operational readiness, documentation and support handover for enterprise platforms.
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to produce executive updates, technical documentation, runbooks and risk-based recommendations.
