Job summary

Cuscal Limited is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the GitHub Platform Uplift within the Engineering Practice. You will steer the GitHub Enterprise roadmap while staying hands-on with platform engineering, DevSecOps and CI/CD capabilities to improve security and delivery standards across the organisation.

You will influence engineering practices, manage risks and dependencies, and collaborate with cloud, cyber, and identity teams to drive successful platform adoption and secure delivery.

Qualifications

• Extensive platform engineering experience in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Strong experience administering GitHub Enterprise, including governance and security features.
• Experience delivering GitHub migrations or large-scale platform adoption initiatives.
• Strong CI/CD engineering with GitHub Actions and automation.
• Practical DevSecOps knowledge spanning code security and policy enforcement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-team communication.

Your Opportunity

We're looking for a Technical Manager - GitHub Platform Uplift to lead the delivery of our GitHub Enterprise roadmap while remaining hands‑on with platform engineering, DevSecOps and CI/CD capabilities. This role combines delivery leadership with technical execution, offering the opportunity to influence engineering standards and platform capabilities across the organisation.

You'll also make an impact by:

• Leading the GitHub platform uplift roadmap, managing stakeholders, risks, dependencies and delivery outcomes across engineering, cloud, cyber and identity teams.
• Driving GitHub Enterprise administration, migration activities and adoption across engineering teams.
• Enhancing DevSecOps and CI/CD capabilities through secure automation, governance and operational readiness practices.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

• Extensive platform engineering experience within enterprise or regulated environments.
• Strong experience administering GitHub Enterprise, including repository governance, access controls and security features.
• Experience delivering GitHub migrations, onboarding programs or large‑scale platform adoption initiatives.
• Strong CI/CD engineering expertise with GitHub Actions, automation and secure delivery practices.
• Practical DevSecOps knowledge spanning code security, secrets management, container security and policy enforcement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to drive outcomes across multiple teams.

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have:

• Experience with GitHub Enterprise Managed Users, SAML SSO or SCIM provisioning.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, GitOps tooling and cloud‑native platform engineering.
• Knowledge of PCI‑DSS, APRA CPS 234 or broader financial services regulatory environments.
• GitHub, AWS or Kubernetes certifications.
