Job summary

Blackwoods is recruiting two Technical Business Development Specialists for Regency Park, SA. You will blend customer engagement with product expertise to identify opportunities and apply fit-for-purpose solutions.

Across Trade Tools & Assessories or PPE, you’ll engage customers, conduct workplace assessments, and demonstrate products while partnering with sales to meet customer requirements. Strong technical credibility and relationship-building are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, customer engagement and/or in relevant sales solutions.
• Ability to build customer relationships and influence product adoption through credible technical advice and consultation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate customer needs into fit-for-purpose recommendations.
• Confidence presenting, demonstrating products, and communicating with a broad range of stakeholders.
• B2B experience will be highly regarded.
• A current driver's licence will be required for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to understand operating environment, challenges, and requirements, and identify opportunities where products and solutions can add value.
• Create demand for targeted products and solutions, growing market share and sales.
• Run customer trials and demonstrations, including product evaluations and proof-of-concept activities.
• Conduct workplace assessments and recommend solutions that can improve safety, productivity, and compliance.
• Support customer projects, tenders, evaluations, and solution implementation activities.
• Bring customer feedback, product insights, and market observations back to Sales and Category teams to support ongoing development.
