Job summary

LemmeRecruit is partnering with a Sydney-based retailer to recruit a Finance Analyst focused on Dynamics 365. You will bridge finance needs with technology, elicit requirements, and translate them into deliverable improvements within budgeting, forecasting and planning workflows.

You'll review current Dynamics usage, map gaps, and shape a practical programme of improvements while collaborating with finance stakeholders and IT teams. Hybrid role: three days in office, two from home.

Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on Dynamics 365 experience in a finance environment.
• Solid understanding of finance functions and how to work with finance stakeholders.
• Proven business analysis skills: eliciting requirements, mapping processes, prioritising gaps.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting or planning processes.
• Comfortable in a collaborative environment where processes are being defined.

An opportunity to help a finance team get greater value from its Dynamics 365 investment, while shaping its future approach to budgeting, forecasting and planning.

About the Client

Our client is a well established Australian fresh food and grocery retailer, with a network of stores mostly across Sydney and NSW.

The business is known for its focus on quality and people first.

The finance team runs on Dynamics 365 and is now focused on closing the gap between how finance works today and what Dynamics can deliver, while also reviewing its future approach to budgeting, forecasting and planning.

Where do you come in?

You are hands-on with Dynamics 365 in a finance environment and confident working closely with finance stakeholders.

You can understand how a finance team actually works, clarify what it needs, and turn that into requirements technology teams can deliver.

You act as the bridge between the two, bringing clarity to requirements and helping both sides agree on what matters most.

The Challenge & Opportunity

This role sits at the point where finance and technology meet, in an environment where processes are still being defined.

Some process mapping already exists, so the initial focus will be reviewing that work, assessing current functionality and turning the gaps into a clear, practical programme of improvements.

The opportunity includes:

• Reviewing existing process mapping and assessing current Dynamics 365 functionality
• Identifying where Dynamics falls short of what finance needs
• Shaping a practical programme of improvements
• Contributing to discussions about the organisation’s future planning approach, including its current IBM Planning and Analytics setup

What You’ll Do

• Work with finance stakeholders to understand processes, needs and priorities
• Review existing process mapping and assess how current Dynamics 365 functionality supports the finance team
• Identify gaps and document clear requirements
• Help shape a practical programme of improvements
• Work with technology teams to translate finance requirements into deliverable changes
• Contribute budgeting, forecasting and planning experience to discussions about the future planning approach

What We Are Looking For

• Strong, hands-on Dynamics 365 experience in a finance environment (a MUST HAVE)
• Sound understanding of finance functions and confidence working closely with finance stakeholders
• Business analysis skills, including eliciting requirements, assessing current processes and turning gaps into clear priorities
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting or planning processes
• Comfort working in a collaborative team where processes are still being defined

Non-Essentials (But Nice to Have)

• IBM Planning and Analytics (TM1) experience. Deep expertise is not required; an understanding of the underlying planning and forecasting concepts matters more.
