Job summary

West Recruitment – Sydney Western Suburbs NSW is seeking a Technology Business Analyst to own the Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment and related Power Platform solutions. This hands-on role combines business analysis, solution delivery and continuous improvement across the enterprise tech stack.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, drive system enhancements, and implement AI-enabled features to streamline processes, reporting and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 including configuration and administration.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Exposure to AI-enabled tools and Copilot; ability to automate business processes.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the Dynamics 365 environment, including configuration, enhancements, testing and release management.
• Manage the D365 product roadmap and prioritise system improvements.
• Engage with stakeholders to analyse processes, gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, build and enhance Power Platform solutions to improve workflows and reporting.
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and data quality.
• Coordinate backlog, vendors and delivery activities for technology improvements.
• Act as liaison between business and central technology teams ensuring governance and security alignment.
• Support end-user computing solutions, including training and user adoption.
• Develop documentation and training materials for successful implementation.

About your new role

Reporting into the business and working closely with internal stakeholders and the broader technology function, the Business Technology Analyst will take ownership of the organisation's Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment and associated business applications.

This is a hands-on role combining business analysis, systems ownership, solution delivery and continuous improvement. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand operational challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and deliver practical technology solutions using Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform and emerging AI capabilities.

A key focus will be driving the adoption and optimisation of Microsoft technologies, ensuring systems and processes are scalable, efficient and aligned with business requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Take ownership of the Dynamics 365 environment, including configuration, enhancements, testing, release management and ongoing optimisation.
• Manage the D365 product roadmap, prioritising system improvements and enhancements based on business requirements.
• Engage with business stakeholders to analyse existing processes, gather requirements and translate these into practical technology solutions.
• Design, develop and enhance solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI to improve workflows, reporting and operational efficiency.
• Drive the adoption of Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, automation and data quality.
• Manage the technology improvement backlog, coordinating stakeholders, vendors and delivery activities.
• Act as the key liaison between the business and central technology teams, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture, cyber security and governance standards.
• Support end-user computing solutions, including issue resolution, system improvements, training and user adoption.
• Develop documentation, work instructions and training materials to support successful implementation and ongoing system improvements.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of strong technical capability, business analysis experience and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across both business and technology teams.
You will ideally have experience working in a Business Technology Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Applications Analyst or similar role, where you have taken ownership of enterprise applications and delivered technology improvements.

Key skills and experience include:

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, including configuration, enhancements, administration and ongoing optimisation.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, AI tools and business process automation.
• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, workflow design and solution delivery.
• Experience managing application enhancements, testing, releases and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Understanding of system integrations, data governance, cyber security and enterprise technology environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working with vendors, internal technology teams and business stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of technology initiatives.
