Job summary

Sharp and Carter is partnering with a well-established Australian business in Melbourne to recruit a Finance Systems Analyst. You’ll support day-to-day integrity of finance systems while helping drive the D365 Finance and Operations implementation, testing, and process improvements.

You’ll work across Finance, IT and operations, building reports and dashboards (Power BI) and ensuring data quality across key systems. This is a meaningful transformation role, not just maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience with finance or ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of core accounting and finance processes.
• Familiarity with D365 Finance and Operations.
• Ability to test, map processes and drive improvements.
• Good Excel with Power BI exposure advantageous.

The business is investing heavily in its systems capability and is currently progressing through a significant Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation. This creates a strong opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a meaningful transformation rather than simply maintaining an existing system.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Accounting Systems Manager, this role sits at the intersection of Finance, IT and the broader business. You’ll help support the day to day integrity of the finance systems while also playing an active role in implementation, testing, process improvement, reporting and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing D365 implementation and optimisation
• Investigate finance system issues and identify root causes
• Complete UAT, testing and support system enhancements
• Improve finance processes, workflows and controls
• Maintain data integrity across key finance systems
• Develop reporting, dashboards and data extracts including Power BI
• Work across Finance, IT, operations and external system partners

About You

• Experience working with finance or ERP systems
• Strong understanding of core accounting and finance processes
• D365 Finance and Operations experience highly regarded
• Comfortable with testing, process mapping and system improvements
• Strong Excel capability with Power BI exposure advantageous
• Practical communicator who can work across finance and non‑finance teams
