Job summary

Nine is seeking a Technology Director for the Consumer Platform to own the technical vision and delivery for a major transformation program. You will lead a 50-75+ engineering team across onshore, offshore and vendor partners to consolidate Identity, Subscriptions, Billing and MarTech into a unified platform.

The role requires executiveship, program management discipline, and a track record of delivering complex digital initiatives in media or consumer-facing environments.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technology leadership experience delivering large-scale digital transformation programs.
• Experience leading onshore, offshore and vendor teams in consumer-facing environments.
• Ability to translate business goals into actionable technical strategies and roadmaps.
• Proven budget management and multi-million-dollar program allocations.
• Strong communication and executive presence from engineers to the Board.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the long-term technical vision for the Consumer Platform.
• Lead architectural direction and vendor management for Identity, Subscriptions, Billing and MarTech.
• Oversee legacy modernization while ensuring security & continuity.
• Accelerate platform maturity via modern engineering practices and AI.
• Direct the engineering organisation across core domains and delivery.
• Manage multi-year budgets and resources across onshore/offshore teams.
• Provide executive reporting on progress, dependencies and risks.
