Job summary

TeamKids is the premium provider of Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in Australia. We are looking for a motivated Second in Charge to lead in Lilyfield, NSW, delivering high-quality care before and after school and during holidays.

This role is part-time with split shifts and a 27.5-hour week. You’ll work closely with the Director of Service, supporting program delivery, safety, and memorable experiences for children, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in Before and After School Care is preferred, but training will be provided.
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members and school principals.
• ELC Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards) as per ACECQA standards.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the school community, attending events and assemblies.
• Help create and implement enriching experiences based on children’s preferences.
• Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
• Play and have FUN with primary school aged children.
• Support ensuring your program complies with industry regulations.

Job Description

This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location: Lilyfield, NSW, 2040

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

• BSC 7:00am - 9:00am
• ASC 2:30pm - 6:00pm
• 27.5 hours per week

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you’ll be a key leader in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for the children in our service. • Innovation: Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program
• Genuine: Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.

• Remarkable:Support with ensuring your program in compliance according to industry regulations.

The Successful Candidate:

• Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!
