Job summary

Workforce Assist is seeking an experienced Team Leader to supervise a small workshop and warehouse team processing used devices. You will lead 2–4 staff, assign daily tasks and ensure quality and data accuracy in processing and inventory.

The role combines hands-on duties with leadership, including data entry, Excel tracking, and safety compliance. Immediate start with casual-to-permanent opportunity and regular day shifts in Auburn, NSW.

Team Leader – Warehouse & Device Processing

Location: Auburn, NSW
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Employment Type: Casual with opportunity to move into a permanent position

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Team Leader to join a growing business specialising in the processing, testing and preparation of used mobile phones, iPads and tablets.

This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys working alongside their team while also providing day‑to‑day leadership and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.

You will lead a small team of approximately 2–4 employees while remaining actively involved in workshop and warehouse duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small team of 2–4 staff
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor workflow
• Use specialised software to validate and process used mobile phones, tablets and other electronic devices
• Ensure devices are properly checked and all previous customer data has been removed
• Maintain accurate records through data entry and Excel spreadsheets
• Check completed work for accuracy and qualityAssist with wrapping, packing and palletising stock
• Operate a forklift when required
• Maintain an organised and efficient workshop and warehouse
• Support stock movement and inventory‑related duties
• Ensure team members follow workplace procedures and safety requirements
• Communicate any operational issues or delays to management
• Assist with training and supporting team members

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Team Leader
• Experience managing or supervising a small team
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong and accurate data entry skills
• Current Forklift Licence
• Previous warehouse, production, electronics, technology or device-processing experience is highly regarded
• Good attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills
• Ability to work hands‑on alongside the team
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for daily operations

We are looking for someone with a few years of practical workplace experience who is comfortable balancing team leadership, computer‑based processing and hands‑on warehouse duties.

This position would suit someone who is organised, technically confident, reliable and willing to assist wherever required to keep the operation running smoothly.
